Taking Requests

/

So, I'm apparently not nearly as good at this blogging thing as I thought I would be- but I guess I can say I've been a little busy and preoccupied since Addison's arrival and hopefully that will let me off the hook with those of you who are upset that I have not updated the blog yet. Today is really the first day I have felt up to getting back on here- blame the loritab if you would like.
Updates- so inducing Addison was a total flop- after hours of all kinds of fun prodding and iv drips, and contractions, the doc and I agreed it was time to give up and have a c section. No shame there. Within 10 minutes of that decision I was given a hair net, and wheeled to the O.R. where they prepped me for the c section. After getting started I think it took about 7 minutes to get Addison who screamed gloriously at being brought out into the world, and within 27 minutes total I was stitched up and sent to the recovery room. After they checked her over, I finally got to hold my beautiful baby girl and haven't gotten tired of it sense.
Addison is still beautful- is a hard sleeper during the day, not so much in the night time, but we're getting better. Has a hearty appetite, and in general is a great baby. Of course I'm biased- but I think she is. Dad is doing FANTASTIC in his duties, even changes seriously dirty diapers. I think he might be a little smitten with her to tell you the truth.
Everything else is good- my Mom has been staying with us since Doug went back to work and has been a tremendous help. She's been cooking, and helping keep things picked up, and keeps stealing my baby, but I guess its ok. Doug's parents have been over a bunch as well, and both our brothers and some of our friends have stopped by to welcome Addison into the world. I am so thankful for all of the support we have gotten from our family and friends!
I still can't believe that she is actually here.
