Prom. Does anyone really remember theirs? What I remember most is how incredibly grown up you felt getting all dressed up, going out to eat, feeling very Paparazzi worthy......... and then getting to the prom. It was definitely never like the ones on tv, with 1 million balloons, and cool themes, and fantastic food, and great bands.... it was just Charlestowne Landing, and my highschool friends dressed up. And then the "grown up" part of it went to the wayside, and we had a fabulous time just hanging out and dancing with each other.
My cousin Rebecca just went to her first prom, and she and my aunt asked if I would come take photographs of her and her handsome boyfriend Joseph. The prom was actually Joseph's prom, he goes to Bishop England, and she goes to James Island. But it doesn't matter whos prom it was, cause she looked absolutely gorgeous- and you could tell she felt it, too! He looked very handsome, too, all GQ'ed out in his lil tux.... and sunglasses provided by my uncle (for those of you who don't know my uncle Ron, he has his own eyeglass shop)... so, Joseph was looking pretty dapper, too.
Anyways, it was fun to see them all dressed up....... and fun taking their pictures, although Joseph wasn't nearly as thrilled or as comfortable with it as Rebecca was..... but here are a few of the pics I took near the marsh behind my aunt and uncle's house!
